Today was a Good Day

Does anyone else have Ice Cube stuck in their head now?

Well, today was a good day. The sun was out...FINALLY and we took advantage.

First, we rode bikes around the neighborhood... "Look Ma, no hands!!"

After our bike ride, we came back to the house to relax a bit in the sun...

Then we decided to rest in the nice cool grass...

We also played soccer (To answer your question, yes, Ben dressed himself today. This shirt is waaaaay to small but it must be his favorite because if it is clean, he wears it!)

GOAL!!

Then we ate lunch outside. I LOVE eating outside!!

While the kids were napping, I tried my first experiment with cake pops (more on that disaster later) and then we had a yummy dinner with great friends.

Tonight, we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Easter Bunny!!

"I gotta say, it was a good day!"

True Confessions of a Reality TV Junkie

So here's a shocker for you...I love reality television. I love shows where you get to see how other people live (think "Real Housewives", "Real World", etc.). I love shows where there are rules and competitions (like "Biggest Loser" and the "Amazing Race"). I love trashy hokey shows where nothing good can come of it (like my all time favorite Paradise Hotel). Just recently I have discovered that I really love reality show hosts. Maybe it is because I don't really watch movies (my self diagnosed adult ADD kicks in after about an hour) so I don't actually know about any real celebrities. Maybe it is because they are the one sane person surrounded by a group of crazies. Maybe it is because they seem to have the inside scoop and the dirtiest dirt on everyone else (I love that stuff!). Maybe it is because they seem to make all of the rules and I am kind of jealous of that. Who knows? Bottom line is that I have huge celebricrushes on a lot of them. Here are my top 3: # 3. Jeff Probst. I like him because he is a man with a plan. And he is obviously the smartest person on that show because he gets dinner every night and isn't bathing in gator/shark/hippo infested waters. #2. Chris Harrison. He's cute but I think the thing I like the most about him is that while everyone around him is crying and just generally looking desperate he is there to break it all down in what always promises to be the most dramatic rose ceremony ever. "Ladies, Bachelor, this is the final rose of the evening."
#1. Mike Rowe. I heart him. He's so funny!! His humor is a totally sarcastic (which I obviously love!) and he seems willing to do just about anything. I could use someone around here like that. I mean the litter box isn't going to empty itself anytime soon. I love his voice. He is so serious when he narrates "Deadliest Catch" but I love him just the same.
So there you have it. My deep dark secret. I love reality TV hosts. Don't judge.

Blast from the Past

Do you recognize these two? Yup! That's us circa 1999. Tomorrow we celebrate the 13th anniversary of our first date. I can guarantee that when this picture was taken we could not have ever begun to predict where we would be today. Through it all, I'm glad we've done it together. Love you Babe!
